Before the crew arrives
Have everything packed and labeled before moving day starts, unless we are doing the packing for you. Keep one clear path from each room to the front door. Put anything traveling with you — documents, medications, chargers, snacks — in your car the night before. If you have kids or pets, plan for them to be with someone else for the day.
The first hour
The crew leader walks through your home with you and notes anything fragile, heavy, or awkward. Then the team pads the doorways and lays floor protection. Big furniture gets wrapped first, then boxes start moving to the truck. This is the slowest-looking hour, and it is the most important one.
Loading
Loading takes longer than most people expect — often two to four hours for a house. Heavy furniture goes in first and gets strapped down. Boxes stack by weight: heavy on the bottom, light on top. The crew loads in layers, filling gaps with soft items like bags of linens so nothing shifts in transit.
The drive and unloading
At the new place, the crew leader does another walkthrough with you so the team knows which room each box goes to. Unloading is usually faster than loading. Furniture gets placed where you want it before the boxes pile up around it.
The final walkthrough
Before we leave, walk through both homes with the crew leader. Check closets, attics, basements, and behind every door. Once you sign off, the move is done — and you get to sleep in your new place tonight.
